Computerwisekids Inc. has launched the CWK Smarts application, a comprehensive and easy to use student information management system. It is designed to meet the needs of the numerous stakeholders in the k-12 environment.

Computerwisekids contracts with public, private, charter and parochial schools to provide a complete state-of-the-art technology program for their school. Schools who try to manage their own computer labs quickly discover that the costs of a technology program are not limited to the purchase price of computers and software. The network needs to be installed and administered, the school's electrical system may need to be upgraded, equipment and operating systems become obsolete within three to five years, software licenses must be renewed annually; maintenance costs skyrocket as the computers get frequent use, and computers inevitably break down. In addition, instructor(s) need to be hired, trained, paid for and retained; and each time there is a change in leadership or focus, more costs ensue. Unless a school is very big and has extraordinary parental support in terms of money and volunteer time, technology program becomes unmanageable.

Computerwisekids provides a turnkey solution to the technology needs of schools, first with curriculum and education services, and now with their Student Management System. The costs are based on the number of students per class, and are fixed, and there are no "surprises" or hidden costs during the school year.
